In the course of the company health management (BGM), employees of STAUB & CO. - SILBERMANN have been active in company runs. They ran at the B2Run in Munich and Nuremberg, the M-net company run and the Augsburg night run. For the first time this season, a female athlete even took part in the LEW Kuhsee Triathlon for STAUB & CO. - SILBERMANN at the start.
B2Run in Munich and Nuremberg
On the hottest day of this summer so far, the B2Run took place in Munich. Three sales employees from the Munich site started for STAUB & CO. - SILBERMANN took to the starting line. The 5.6-kilometer course took them across the entire grounds of the Olympic Park. Crossing the finish line in the Olympic Stadium was a lasting experience for the three. At the subsequent after-run party with DJ, they brought the summery day to a festive close.
Nuremberg also went very well. Three runners from the headquarters started at the B2Run in the park at the Max Morlock Stadium. In a very rainy week overall, the three made it through the 5.8 km course dry, fast and with beaming faces during a break in the rain.
M-net company run, LEW night run and the Kuhsee Triathlon
At the M-net company run in Augsburg, six runners from all of the company's sites were at the start. Even Lobeck Chemie AG, our subsidiary in Switzerland, was represented in the team. In summery temperatures and in the best of moods, the six started the 5.3-kilometer course. An after-run party with live concert rounded off the day.
Two other running events in this region took place around Augsburg's Kuhsee lake. On day 1, two employees from the Gablingen and Nuremberg sites took part in the LEW night run. This involves running around the Kuhsee twice over a total distance of 5 km. The night run started at 9:30 pm. Around the lake, torches lit the way. In addition, a hot air balloon created a mystical atmosphere. These exceptional conditions will certainly remain in the memory of the participants.
The following day, the starting signal was given for the Kuhsee Triathlon. The lake is the perfect backdrop for this challenging event. With Michaela Alfes from the STAUB & CO. - SILBERMANN site in Nuremberg, the company has a real competitive athlete in this field. An avid marathon runner, she recently added cycling and swimming to her training program and has since also competed in triathlons. "Here I can perfectly demonstrate my versatility and endurance," she says proudly.
The Kuhsee Triathlon started with swimming. As one of the first participants, she swam straight away: "The lake is full of creepers and almost didn't want to let me go! Nevertheless, she got out of the water and directly onto the bike. The bike course took the athlete through the picturesque surroundings around Kuhsee. Finally, the competition ended with the running part. Happy and satisfied with her performance, she was able to celebrate after crossing the finish line together with 400 other participants.
We would like to thank all runners and congratulate them on their successful participation. We are already looking forward to the repetitions in 2024.
