What a great and new opportunity! This was commented by the market when the Stockmeier Group decided in 2018 to expand its specialization to the Personal Care Industry. The good experience with focus on application driven industries in the already established Specialty Chemicals Department in the STOCKMEIER Group led to the next logical step:

To focus on the personal care industry, which combines the knowledge of the detergent industry, 'rinse-off', with that of personal care, 'leave-on' and as well as the Life Science industry with oral care and nutrition.

In 2022, we opened our personal care laboratory, as House of Innovation. We develop service-oriented and technical solutions, provide product training for customers and suppliers, and develop cosmetic formulations with our raw materials.

5 People & Culture

The core of our success: Our motivated, innovative employees who provide personal commercial, technical and regulatory advice as required by our customer. Meanwhile 17 people belong to the Personal Care sales team at STOCKMEIER Personal Care in Germany.

KEMTAN AG has been an established player in the distribution of speciality chemicals in the Swiss market since 2003. We are part of the international STOCKMEIER Group since 2020 and share the same philosophy with the owner-managed family business. 

As part of the STOCKMEIER Group we had and will have the chance to grow and explore markets. In 2003 we started with dedicated products and widened our portfolio since then. The (industrial) coating range from Stockmeier was implemented just a few years ago and as a logical consequence we extended our portfolio in sophisticated topical applications in cosmetics and personal care. Specialty ingredients such as waxes, emollients and pigments are used in both markets. Therefore, it was a perfect starting point to step into the cosmetics market.

In Switzerland we focus on our customers applications, especially in the areas of cosmetics, paints & coatings, candles, and cleaning agents for home care. Our product portfolio ranges from industrial chemicals to complex speciality ingredients which are applicable for both rinse-off and leave-on in cosmetics, for hair, skin, and oral care. We will continue to broaden our access into the various applications in the personal care market.

The close collaboration between people in other countries and our European goal makes us a reliable partner. HDS-Chemie is a dynamic distribution company located in the heart of Europe, representing leading international manufacturers. Our partners are globally operating producers of raw materials and specialties from Europe, Asia, United States, etc. We distribute high-quality products for a variety of industries, including cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs, detergents, and cleaning agents, candles, and many others. 

Our market includes over 16 countries in Cen-tral, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. One of our strengths is our multinational team with native speakers from all our market areas. With our headquarter in Vienna (Austria), our sales offices in Brno (Czech Republic), Bratislava (Slovakia), Iaşi (Romania) and Györ (Hungary), as well as our distribution partners in multiple countries, we are capable to provide professional customer support and local service at the highest level.

HDS Personal Care

With HDS Personal Care, we have expanded a strong line of our business, and we have succeeded in gaining many new partners and suppliers. By our new Personal Care product line, we offer the ideal combination of natural and synthetic ingredients. Our specia-lized Personal Care team connects our customers with selected, lea-ding manufacturers and helps you to develop innovative as well as effective products reflecting cur-rent needs and the latest trends, with the support of specialized application laboratories. Our key partners are: Düllberg Konzentra, Ecogreen Oleochemicals, Hywax, Schill & Seilacher, Akema, Synthos, Industria Chimica Panzeri and many others.   

By changing the name from Quaron to STOCK-MEIER France, we want our customers, suppliers and other business partners to identify us as being part of the STOCKMEIER Group, for instance when we participate in trade shows. The official name change was effective on October 1st, 2022, but it required months of preparation beforehand.

Our capabilities in France STOCKMEIER France is operating 9 sites in France, with integrated filling, storage and logistic capacities to offer performant and reactive services. With a strong focus on functional ingredients such as oleochemicals, surfactants, humectants, texturizers, solvents, buffers and preservatives, STOCKMEIER France is distributing strictly qualified products from renowned producers. Formulation with new ingredients, sourcing of alternative producers or ingredients, STOCKMEIER France can support your developments in many areas: skin care, hair care, soaps and bath products, perfumes, makeup, deodorant and oral care.

Very committed to serve our customers, STOCKMEIER France has joined the Global Compact initiative of the United Nations and is rated Gold by Ecovadis. STOCKMEIER France is also a member of RSPO and is certified for the distribution of Organic Ingredients.

The cosmetic society

STOCKMEIER France is a member of the Cosmetic professional associations COSMED and SFC. COSMED is the 1st network of companies in the cosmetics industry in France and was founded in 2000 of the desire of small and medium-sized businesses to be represented and heard by the French and European authorities in charge of the cosmetics sector. SFC is the Société Française de Cosmétologie. The mission of SFC is to promote and disseminate scientific studies to the entire cosmetic community. SFC offers the Cosmet’Agora trade show, the Rencontres as an international symposium. 

For several years now, we have been on a jour-ney with STOCKMEIER and all the partners who have been contributing to the win-win evolution that is taking place both in Poland and in Europe. 

Our communication skills and the personal satisfaction we get from doing well make us strong. Our individual growth runs parallel with a continuous effort into market penetration. This is driven by the ability to communicate transparently, giving us a clear insight into the direction we should follow. The key is to process this information accurately and respond appropriately in a way suited to the situation. 

The personal care team in Poland is represented by Karolina Wojtaszek and Monika Kukuła. We have two warehouses in the Central and North part of Poland. With an access to sea harbor, we are shipping containers from all over the world. Our strengths are longterm relations with suppliers. Among several of them, we have Ecogreen with esters, fatty alcohols and ICOF/ LG Alkyl Polyglucosides. 

Our latest launches are active substances in lipocapsules. With a small particle size of less than 30nm, they can penetrate deeper into the skin. Therefore, the effectiveness is higher. Encapsulation makes them stable and suitable for oil and water systems.  

The Polish Personal Care market is very fragmented. It is characterized by extensive customer differentiation, from craft cosmetics producers to multinationals. Each opinion and each piece of feedback is precious, partnership counts. We are in the process of becoming more unique and innovative. It is reflected in our portfolio. 

Our idea of business is the permanent de-velopment that is only possible together by emphasizing employee growth and satisfaction.  

Gamma Chimica was founded on the outskirts of Milan in 1980 thanks to Giuseppe Mearini's passion for chemistry. Fifteen people worked there; today that same company represents the typical example of exquisitely „Made in Italy“ entrepreneurial excellence: 

Steady growth over time, building solid reputation and becoming a model for the entire industry.

It is an example of how a small entrepreneur-ship is born, grows, becomes excellenct and a role model in its branch. Gamma Chimica's exponential growth attracted the attention of the STOCKMEIER Group, and in July 2022 the acquisition process began; it is now part of a large new family with the same passion. The Cosmetics sector, represents an important part of the business, in which Gamma Chimica believes strongly. Investments have been made in recent years by onboarding dedicated professionals. A new surfactant dilution plant as well as dedicated logistics is planned to operate by April 2023.

Five team members, highly specialized, represent our cosmetics team: 

Davide De Bernardi, is a highly experienced Oleo Chemical Business Manager. Thanks to managing the strong KLK partnership, Gamma Chimica grew exponentially to the number one partner in Italy. 

Vincenzo Randazzo is the Business Manager who is perfectly familiar with all Zschimmer & Schwarz products. The corresponding portfo-lio of this partner has countless specialties for the cosmetic sector, each of which is proposed and developed by our sales team present in the territory.

Jessica Cancellieri is our Account and Sales Manager who cares about all our customers in the cosmetic branch, thanks to her experience gained from 15 years in the industry. Curiosity, passion and empathy characterizes her.

Alessandra Negrini joined Gamma Chimica in the role of Product Manager for surfactants and cleaning prooducts. She supports the team based on her international experience in the field of product management and procurement.

Mara Menozzi, Business Manager Solvents, delivers exponential growth by adding new functional products in the cosmetic world thanks to the new generation of green solvents.

Four years ago, as the STOCKMEIER Group continued their unceasing expansion strategy throughout Southern Europe, STOCKMEIER Química was founded in February 2019. Our company though appearing young, but with decades of experience in the chemical and raw material distribution and a long history of actively serving our customers.  

New investment project in Valencia

We define ourselves as a general distributor of chemical products in the Iberian Peninsula and the Maghreb region. We focus on core industrial segments offering our range of chemicals and continuously introduce additional chemical specialties. We are developing new business opportunities while also capitalizing on synergies within the STOCKMEIER Group. Lastly, we are proud to announce the investment project in Valencia for a new production plant which will also provide quality control services and include an innovative application laboratory. Inauguration of the site is scheduled for 2024.

Tailored products and technical service For Personal Care

we have solvents, organic and inorganic salts, surfactants, emollients, emulsifiers, moisturizers, active ingredients such as aloe, vitamins, texturizers, thickeners, oxidants, perfumes, etc. We continue to add new ingredients and distribution agreements, both nationally and pan European, benefiting from the STOCKMEIER One project. We are  focused on providing effective customer service, offering technical support, and providing formulation assistance, taking advantage of our technical knowledge, our team of professionals and our suppliers.

Product portfolio  

extension by Scott Bader Complementary to our portfolio we current-ly start to represent Scott Bader products. Their Texique® range comprises texturi-zers as well as quaternized starches. The-se texturizers possess remarkable emulsi-fying and thickening capacity, permit cold process formulations, and allow for both minimalist or more complex formulations.  They provide a special sensory profile:

• Cream gel like textures
• Easy spreadability
• Light textures for both skin and hair care applications
• Especially suitable for men's products

The quaternized potato starch is compa-tible with anionic surfactants, perfect for hair conditioners, rinse-off and leave-on products. We look forward to sharing our formulations and samples at in-cosmetics that demonstrate the incredible benefits of  the Scott Bader range.
