MDI Terminated Polyester Prepolymer(s)

Our MDI terminated polyester prepolymers are built for high-property elastomers, elastomeric coatings, and adhesive applications, offering superior chemical, abrasion, and tear resistance. Available in a range of NCO options.

Stobicast® HC 1520

An MDI terminated polyester prepolymer offering high property elastomer performance with hardness in the 93A–97A range. Designed for demanding applications such as die cut blankets, wheels, rolls, and sheet goods. Available NCO range: 8.3–8.55%.

Stobicast® HC 1521

An MDI terminated polyester prepolymer with high abrasion and tear resistance, designed for applications such as tires and die cut blankets. Available in two grades: 84A–88A (NCO 6.5–6.7%) for tough, flexible elastomers, and 53D–57D (NCO 12.5–12.8%) for higher-modulus, semi-rigid parts.

Stobicast® HC 1523

An MDI terminated polyester prepolymer with high tear resistance, designed for applications such as castor wheels and similar high-load components. Available in two grades: 86A–93A (NCO 7.0–7.3%) and 94A–98A (NCO 9.5–9.7%) for harder, more wear-resistant parts.

MDI Terminated Polyether Prepolymer(s)

Our MDI terminated polyether prepolymers are built for applications requiring high resiliency, hydrolytic stability, and microbial resistance, making them well-suited for dynamic and demanding service environments. Available in a range of NCO grades.

Stobicast® HC 1525

An MDI terminated PTMEG prepolymer with high resilience and excellent dynamic performance, designed for applications such as hydro cyclones, skate wheels, and bushings. Hardness range: 88A–92A. Available NCO range: 7.1–7.4%.

Stobicast® HC 1533

A high-performance MDI terminated polyether prepolymer offering variable hardness from 70A to 55D, allowing formulators to tailor stiffness across a wide range from flexible to semi-rigid parts. Available NCO range: 12.9–13.2%.

Stobicast® HC 1544

A low-NCO MDI terminated polyether prepolymer in the 83A–87A hardness range, formulated for soft, resilient cast elastomers where flexibility and hydrolytic stability are required. Available NCO range: 3.6–3.9%.

Quasi-MDI Prepolymers

Stobicast® HC 1527

A quasi-MDI prepolymer formulated for cast and foam systems, offering multi-durometer versatility for flexible and semi-rigid applications. Available NCO range: 18.8–19.2%.

Curatives

Curatives are used with prepolymers to form a chemical reaction. Different curatives will create different final properties. Our hot cast curative options include: 1,4 Butanediol; 1,2 Ethanediol; and 1,2 Propanediol.
