Even if chemical production specialist (m/f/d) may first spring to mind when you think of chemical formulas, caustic raw materials and the experiments from chemistry class, this apprenticeship is more about the production machines than the raw materials that are processed in them. During the training, the apprentices learn how to set and monitor the machines correctly. Close observation and thinking are required here. If, for example, the temperature is not right, the technology must be checked and corrective action taken in the production process. This can be done on the computer, but also physically with tools in hand.

If you have a keen interest in technology and technical processes, an apprenticeship as a chemical production specialist (m/f/d) at our Gablingen site may be just the thing for you. Chemical production specialists (m/f/d) spend a lot of time on their feet in their day-to-day work and are exposed to noise, dust and fumes in the production halls, so they should be physically fit. Ensuring the proper operation of equipment is a very responsible job. Good observation and comprehension skills are therefore just as important as absolute reliability.
The training lasts 2 years and requires a secondary school diploma. After successful completion of the apprenticeship, further training to become a master craftsman or technician can be pursued.
