Hello professional life!

7 apprentices started their training in September at STAUB & CO. - SILBERMANN. For the young people, the step into professional life meant the beginning of a completely new phase in their lives. The first month passed quickly. This is how the trainees experienced it:

The entire team of trainees and instructors at the get-to-know-you day before the start of training.

All the new trainees experienced their first day of work together at the Gablingen site. Well supervised by the other trainees and the team of trainers, they went through the important first day. They are to become a community. On the second and third working days, a trainer from the Berufsbildungszentrum Augsburg  trained them. They worked out all kinds of basic content for their training in an entertaining way in group work. The main focus was on the values of their company. After the first three days, the trainees went into practice in various departments.

13 apprentices at three locations
Currently, 13 trainees are undergoing training. This year, for the first time, the company is also training chemical production specialists (Gablingen site) and a dialog marketing specialist (Munich site). And there is another special feature this time: two employees who have been with the company for a long time are being trained as specialists in their chosen profession.

One of the newcomers is Noah Lutz. He is training to become a production specialist in chemistry with a planned duration of two years. His expectation is that he will successfully complete the first year of training so that he can switch to a chemical technician apprenticeship in the second year. This profession is more demanding with a training period of 3.5 years. The pay for chemical technicians is therefore higher after the apprenticeship. Noah immediately feels at home in the company. The first month was great and he gained a lot of great impressions. He thinks his teammates and managers are great. The best thing was that he was already allowed to operate one of the production plants himself.

Paul Strempfl has just finished his apprenticeship this year and has since been permanently employed as a chemical technician. He is responsible for the production of chemical products at the Gablingen site. "As a chemical technician, I am responsible for the entire production process. My daily routine is therefore never boring," says Paul Strempfl. Another plus point of his employer: the pleasant working hours. Unlike many other companies, there is no shift work.

Here's what happens after the training:
Trained employees are very important, especially in the chemical industry. Apprentices are therefore usually taken on after their training. Afterwards, they have many opportunities: With the company agreement on further vocational training, employees are supported in continuing their education. Grants, interest-free loans and educational leave are some of the components of this. They also have the opportunity to become team leaders or company representatives.
