Trupocor

Dyes for the paper industry

Trupocor is the brand name of our dyes, we deliver to the paper industry.

In the following you find typical and general suggestions as well as various process instructions for the use of our Trupocor dyes.

General information for dyeing

Dissolve the dye

TRUPOCOR LIQUID DYES
Any dissolution is not necessary. The dye can be added directly to the substance.

TRUPOCOR POWDER BRANDS
Pour cold water into the powder to make it pasty and then add boiling water. After this, add the substance via a sieve. Where a good mixing is ensured, the powder brands can also be added directly.

Bleeding fastness

Despite the very good substantivity of the Trupocor dyes, it is sometimes problematic for very dark tones to achieve a satisfactory bleeding fastness. Here, the use of cationic fixatives (eg. KAPPAFIX) can help.

Multi colouring

If dye combinations (e.g. yellow, red, blue) are used, the cause for a two-color paper may be the different affinity of the dyes to the fiber. This means, one dye has a higher affinity to the fiber and colors it faster and more intensely than the other two. Upon detection of this problem, the dye is to be replaced by another one of lower affinity.

Use of cationic auxiliaries

For the anionic Trupocor liquid and powder brands, we recommend the addition of cationic fixatives after the application and dissolution phase of the dye on the fiber. This allows a better color yield.

In turquoise, there is one exception: here, the fixing agent is added before the dye. This achieves a higher color yield.
