Food Ingredients Europe is the most important trade fair for STOCKMEIER Food. After the trade fair was cancelled in 2020, it could take place this year from 30.11. to 02.12. in Frankfurt. It thus fell in the middle of the fourth Corona wave.
"It was much emptier at the fair compared to previous years," reports Jan-Uwe Wilms, International Sales Manager. "We had fewer contacts, but the proportion of high-quality contacts was much higher than usual." The proportion of foreign visitors was also higher than usual. Many German companies had decided not to visit at short notice.
The discussions at the stand were much more intensive. Due to the smaller number of visitors and exhibitors, there was more time for a longer exchange on both sides. In addition, almost all of the visitors had a concern and did not just want to say "hello". For the six-member STOCKMEIER Food team, it was nice to finally meet the customers and partners again. For many of them, the last personal meeting was already two years ago.
