A new era of filling has begun at the Gablingen location, with the commissioning of a new, fully automated filling plant for small containers of 5 to 30 liters. The new plant’s automated processes are considerable. The plant, manufactured by Vollenda, offers heretofore unattainable combination possibilities for our filling orders – from filling to sealing, weighing, labeling and palletizing.
Thanks to the higher degree of automation, STAUB & CO. – SILBERMANN will be able to offer larger order volumes and further container sizes in the future. In addition to conventional labeling, the new plant can mechanically furnish containers with sleeves (wrap-around labels) and lend them a uniform visual design.
Project manager Peter Prachhart is already looking forward to taking customers’ individual requests and combining these with higher order volumes. “We aim to offer custom solutions to our business partners. This will be easier to achieve with the new plant,” says Peter Prachhart.
Several business units have been involved in the implementation of this project. “Such projects simply cannot be put into effect without close cooperation,” adds Peter Prachhart. What was most important to STAUB & CO. – SILBERMANN was that all filling orders could still be completed as scheduled while the new plant was being installed. This required careful planning in every phase of the project. “It was crucial that ongoing operations be hindered as little as possible; otherwise we would have been unable to fill our customers’ orders,” says Peter Prachhart.
