These products were developed to prevent deposits in vehicles equipped with SCR systems. “Additive-enhanced AdBlue®” is based on a 32.5% urea solution and contains an additive. Like AdBlue®, it meets the requirements of ISO 22241 (except for the added additives) and can therefore be used in the same way as AdBlue® for NOx reduction
in all SCR vehicles.

In the past, some commercial vehicle operators have already had experience with harmful deposits in their SCR systems. The main use of the vehicles for short distances, characterized by low speeds, frequent idling times, and constant stop-and-go phases, is a particular problem factor here and increases the risk of harmful deposits.
This is due to the low engine and exhaust gas temperatures, which prevent the components from decomposing properly and cause deposits to form on the catalytic converter. The result: higher fuel consumption, increased repair costs, and unplanned downtime for your vehicle.
Additive-enhanced AdBlue® prevents the formation of deposits thanks to its low concentration of additives, thus protecting your vehicles from damage to the SCR catalytic converter.
By using additive-enhanced AdBlue® instead of conventional AdBlue®, you not only prevent urea deposits in the SCR system, you also reduce maintenance costs and downtime for your vehicle, thereby increasing its effective use.
Proven performance
Vehicle tests confirm reduced deposit formation
Vehicle manufacturers have already tested AdBlue® with additives under a wide range of conditions and at extremely low exhaust gas temperatures. Over 100 vehicles were put on the engine test bench and the changes were analyzed. The test vehicles were SCR vehicles that had previously been operated with conventional AdBlue® and had experienced problems with vehicle operation due to deposits and exhaust gas backups at irregular, unacceptable intervals—in some cases within less than three weeks. Additive-enhanced AdBlue® significantly reduced the formation of new deposits in all cases.
Designed for vehicle fleets with low mileage or engine performance
Additive-enhanced AdBlue® is ideal for use in vehicles with low mileage and engine power, as well as in vehicles with predominantly low engine temperatures, such as public buses,
garbage trucks, and vehicles used in inner-city traffic. However, AdBlue® with additives can also be used in vehicles with high mileage and in vehicles that are mainly used for long-distance travel. AdBlue® with additives therefore covers all your needs and saves you the hassle of switching between different products for different areas of use for your vehicles.
