STOCKMEIER Urethanes USA is honored to be a platinum t-shirt sponsor for the K9 Search & Rescue Services of West Virginia Inc’s 4th Annual Get Lost Seminar being held May 2-4, 2025, at the Parchment Valley Conference Center in Ripley, WV. This sponsorship helps fund the event and future training opportunities for search and rescue (SAR) teams dedicated to saving lives.

The K9 Search & Rescue Services of WV Inc. is a nonprofit organization that specializes in training highly skilled search and rescue dogs and handlers. Their teams work alongside emergency responders and law enforcement agencies to locate missing persons, providing a critical service to communities in need.

What is the Get Lost Seminar?

The Get Lost Seminar is a three-day, immersive training event designed to equip SAR teams with advanced search techniques and real-world scenarios. Participants will have the opportunity to train under expert instructors from across the country in a variety of disciplines, including:

  • Air Scent (Non-Scent Discriminate & Scent Discriminate) – Led by David Fleenor of K9 Alert (VA)
  • Trailing/Tracking (Wilderness & Urban) – Led by Bill Artress, retired law enforcement officer (MI)
  • Human Remains Detection (Land, Shoreline & Water) – Led by Christine Ronsisvalle of K9 Alert (VA)

New to the seminar this year, participants also can take part in AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluations and National Search Dog Alliance (NSDA) Area and Land Human Remains Detection evaluations.

Mornings and afternoons will focus on hands-on, outdoor K9 training, while evenings will feature educational classes, evaluations, and activities.

Celebrating a STOCKMEIER Urethanes Team Member

STOCKMEIER Urethanes USA is especially proud to support this event as one of our own, QC Lab Technician Kayla Tossone, is actively involved with the K9 Search & Rescue Service of WV. Kayla and her K9 partner, Mercy, recently earned their New Area with Scent Discrimination Certification, marking a significant achievement in their journey as a team. Congratulations to them both!

Best wishes to all attendees of 2025 Get Lost Seminar—your dedication to search and rescue makes a life-saving difference!
