Bielefeld, June 19, 2013 *** STOCKMEIER Group and F.B. Silbermann GmbH & Co. KG have agreed to intensify their cooperation. Therefore, Staub & Co. Chemiehandelsgesellschaft mbH, which is part of STOCKMEIER Group, acquired retroactively as of January 1st, 2013 the shares of Silbermann. The cartel authority granted its approval today.
Mr. Peter Stockmeier and Mr. Kurt Koch, who managed F.B. Silbermann so far, will be the responsible Managing Directors in future. Both Managing Directors are guarantors for a successful connection between the three involved companies.
The new partners are convinced that the synergies resulting from this fusion will have a positive impact on the company group. Among others, the whole product range of the STOCKMEIER Group will be put on a wider basis.
This is the consistent further development of the cooperation in the Solvent sector which started already last year. Currently a new stock for Solvents is built up which will further strengthen the logistics of the chemical terminal in Gablingen and will expand it to a leading position.
In 1920, August Stockmeier set up a trading firm for chemical products in Bielefeld. Today, this firm is still the head office of the company. Since 1960 the company expanded under the direction of Dr. Jürgen Stockmeier and grew until today to the company network of the STOCKMEIER Group, which currently is managed in third generation by Peter Stockmeier. The company network STOCKMEIER Group has meanwhile become a global player of standard products up to specialities for numerous branches.
