Whitewash is a natural product made of calcium hydroxide and water. Our suspension is ground down to achieve a highly specific surface. This produces a finely dispersed suspension that remains in solution, even after longer service times. The whitewash is used in various applications, such as potable water treatment, the metal industry or in wastewater treatment plants.
Our facility in Balve produces whitewash from calcium hydroxide and water on two production lines. The limestone (calcium carbonate) is burned at high temperatures, ground into chalk and doused with water.
The calcium carbonate then reacts with the water to produce calcium hydroxide. This is then diluted with water and processed into whitewash. What makes our whitewash special is its highly specific surface, achieved by continued grinding. This results in an exceptionally finely dispersed suspension that remains in solution, even after longer service times.
We supply whitewash in ready-to-use condition in two different concentrations, according to your needs:
- 20% whitewash (no added grinding aids)
- 45% whitewash (contains additives)
Compared to dry calcium hydroxide, the suspension is completely dust-free, clean and easy to use.
