STOCKMEIER Urethanes USA is proud to again serve as a Platinum T-shirt Sponsor for the  K9 Search & Rescue Services of West Virginia’s 5th Annual Get Lost Seminar, taking place May 1–3, 2026, at the Parchment Valley Conference Center in Ripley, West Virginia.

This sponsorship helps fund not only the seminar itself but also future training opportunities for search and rescue (SAR) teams dedicated to saving lives. By supporting this event, STOCKMEIER Urethanes USA contributes to strengthening the capabilities of first responders and volunteer teams who play a critical role in locating missing persons.

K9 Search & Rescue Services of WV, Inc. is a nonprofit organization specializing in the training of highly skilled search and rescue dogs and their handlers. These teams work alongside emergency responders and law enforcement agencies, providing an essential service to communities in times of need.

About the Get Lost Seminar

The Get Lost Seminar is a three-day, immersive training event designed to equip SAR teams with advanced search techniques through realistic, hands-on scenarios. Participants will train under expert instructors from across the country in a variety of specialized disciplines, including:

  • Air Scent K9 instruction (non-scent discriminate and scent discriminate)
  • Trailing and tracking (both wilderness and urban environments)
  • Land and water human remains detection
  • AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluations

This year’s instructors include:

  • David Fleenor (K9 Alert, Virginia) – Air Scent
  • Bill Artress (Retired Law Enforcement, Michigan) – Trailing
  • Barb Shanahan – Land Human Remains Detection
  • Barbara Weakley-Jones MD – Water Human Remains Detection

Training sessions will take place both indoors and outdoors during the mornings and afternoons, while evenings will feature educational classes, evaluations, and additional activities. The seminar will also include a silent auction to further support SAR efforts.
