This year, STOCKMEIER Urethanes celebrates its 35th anniversary – a milestone marked with a special family day at the company’s headquarters in Lemgo.
The celebration opened with personal speeches from the company’s owners Peter Stockmeier and Christian Martinkat, who took guests on a journey back to the early days. Through authentic stories and anecdotes, they reflected on the foundation of the company and the defining moments that have shaped STOCKMEIER Urethanes over the past decades.
What began in 1990 with the vision of Dr. Jürgen Stockmeier and Edwin Martinkat has steadily evolved into an internationally active company. From its first offices and a small lab in Bielefeld to the expansion into markets such as the USA and the United Arab Emirates, the company’s development has been driven by entrepreneurial spirit, long-term thinking, and a clear commitment to quality.
This spirit was also tangible throughout the day’s program. Guests were given the opportunity to look behind the scenes: guided tours and live laboratory demonstrations provided valuable insights into the expertise, innovation, and dedication that define the company’s day-to-day operations.
At the same time, the event created space for what matters most in the long term – connection and appreciation. Whether enjoying music, taking part in activities, or spending time together with family, the day reflected the strong sense of community that characterises STOCKMEIER Urethanes.
The high number of attendees – particularly families – underlined the importance of the support systems behind the employees. The success of the company is not only built within its own walls, but also shaped by the people who stand behind it.
The anniversary year extends beyond Lemgo: the site in Cernay, France, celebrates its 30th anniversary, while Sowerby Bridge in the United Kingdom marks 15 years – further highlighting the company’s international growth and shared history.
